Even at home you are not safe. In fact, some people get more allergy attacks at home, I damp and humid areas where molds and dust mites inhabit. Though total allergy relief may not be possible, there are ways to relieve allergy attacks and make them as infrequent as possible.
Here are the allergy-causing things at home that you should watch out for and “relieve” yourself from.

As hard as it is to imagine, your own bed can trigger an allergic reaction. The mattress is not actually the culprit but the dust mites that often inhabit in mattresses. To attain allergy relief at home and in your own bedroom where you spend so much time in, buy allergy-free mattress covers and pillow covers. Make sure that you change them every week and wash them.
2. Flooring
Avoid carpets and rugs as if it is a plague! The ideal room for people with allergy has hard flooring made of either cement, wood, tile or linoleum. If you absolutely have to have rugs, clean them often using a vacuum cleaner.
3. Dust
Remember that dust often come from the outside. If there is no need to open the window, keep it close. This will help relieve and prevent your allergy. Also, wash curtains, shades and venetian blinds as they are also places where dust mites inhabit. If the blinds can’t be washed, you can always use a vacuum cleaner.
Keep your room as simple and as uncluttered as you can. Too many things mean too many things where molds and dust mites can inhabit.
